How to pack for removals
Packing for your removal day
It really helps us and you if all your items are boxed and ready to load. This saves time which is good for everyone.
Avoid loose items. Try and box all items so everything is packaged up and ready to go.
Boxes need to be taped up, so nothing can spill out.
It's helpful for all boxes to be labelled, so we (and you!) know what goes where at the other end.
Don’t forget to use lots of crumpled paper or bubble wrap to protect your precious things. Use the packing materials to ensure there is no movement in the box. We don’t want things rattling around.
Try not to make the boxes too heavy, it’s better to have more smaller boxes that are easier to lift than a few boxes that are heavy.
The max weight for a box is 25 Kilos.
Put the light items like clothing, towels and bedding in bigger boxes.
You are welcome to use black bin bags for all your soft furnishings and clothes but, please, no hard object in there.
There are lots of helpful tutorials on YouTube to help you.
